The Landscape
Regeneration Toolkit

With land use and climate change destabilizing agro-ecosystems, we need local solutions that scale and endure. This is the science-based toolkit for precision land regeneration that provides resilience to extreme weather and aids food security and biodiversity.

What is landscape regeneration?

Landscape regeneration is about enhancing agriculture and natural systems to better capture sunlight and water for growing grasses and tress, that capture and CO2, and recycle nutrients to build soils with deep roots.

By restoring soils, landscape regeneration supports the foundation that plants and animals need to thrive long-term.

Landscape regeneration techniques, such as terracing, have been used to protect lands for centuries. Today, precision science can guide our ability to improve agricultural yield and restore ecosystesm, while drawing down carbon into soils contributing to a global climate solution.   LEARN MORE

Why precision land regeneration?

Land managers and farmers face increased threats from extreme weather and increased demands for productivity due to consumption and population growth. Increased inputs of chemicals and fossil fuels have helped to match production demands but have lead to wide spread degradation.

Precision landscape regeneration offers solutions to rebuild agricultural systems that last and meet our healthy food needs, while also restoring ecosystems along the margins to provide services and habitat for biodiversity. With modern technology and data analytics, we can design trials and monitor landscape performance with high precision to reduce risk and increase efficiency.    TAKE ACTION

”We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

Science-based, field-tested solutions

The Landscape Regeneration Toolkit is based on decades of results by leading scientists around the world. Our core team, the Borevitz Lab, partners with industry representatives, farmers, community members, and the Australian government to help make change at scale. We believe that when data-driven insights are combined with practical experience and incentives, the world can shift towards sustainable land management.   LEARN MORE
